One of our forum members, Glen, has launched a web proxy blog, but he's too modest to announce it here, so we'll announce it for him. :-P

If you don't know what a web proxy is you enter a url into a box and the proxy crawls and downloads the page automatically for you. Subsequent clicks are also viewed via the http proxy. This allows people in countries where internet access is restricted to view banned sites, and there's a massive potential market for web proxies in my view.

How do they make money though? How much money can they make? You'll have to read Glenn's web proxy blog (http://www.webproxyblog.com/) to find out.

LOL I'm suprised you didn't notice a surge in South African traffic that almost brought your server to a halt.

We call it the "dig-m effect"... ;)

You shouldn't sell a site that's potentially making 400 bucks a month, not even 40 a month. Web proxies are a bit of a pain because of the bandwidth but they have a future. If you're ahead, leave things as is and build another site would be my best advice.

Oh im keeping a few, but getting rid of 80%, I want to be able to fund my dream, (you know what that is) ;)
