What is the deal with flash sites how do we get to rank them. Is it posible or do they need to be changed in order to rank.

Hi,

You can use <noscript> tags. This way your can let search engines know what is in the text. You got to be carefull though. Too much text in your <noscript> tags can also lead to penalties in Google for being a spammy site. Only use it when needed!

As I understand if you are using Flash 8 and you use dynamic text Google might be able to index some of the words.

I must add however that I see flash as a replacement of images in a website. Designing an entire website in flash doesn't make any sense from a online marketing, SEO or usability point of view with the exception of a tiny few markets. These markets ussually are the gaming industry or flash designer portfolio. The rest of the time complete Flash designs makes no sense.

Getting a flash site to rank can be difficult as Google wont always be able to get hold of all, if any content. You ahve to rely pretty much on backlink strength alone
