I do not know how many of you are aware that online gambling has been legalized in the UK, but this latest step by Google and Yahoo! is simply amazing.
Google has been banning Online Gambling ads in the US for a while now and now decided that the same should be done in the UK Google ban extended (http://www.casinomeister.com/forums/marketing/18099-google-ban-extended.html)

Now as far as the Online Gambling laws are concerned in the US it is debatable whether or not it is really illegal in the US as only 11 states has legislation specifically making it illegal. Therefore to apply it to the entire country makes no sense imo

If they are banning all gambling ads in the US, I wonder if its because their geo-targetting isnt as precise as ppl think. Maybe it can only do countries and not states or provinces...

However, perhaps their banning of gambling ads in the UK is because their headquarters are in the US and thus they're under US jurisdiction and so dont want to take any chances? the same could be said about which state their headquarters are in - if that state banned online gambling, etc, perhaps Google is forced to stop with the ads...
