voter polls

Would anyone agree with having a poll section? Users can vote on what software they use, etc...

You mean add the "poll" function to the forum? Not a bad idea... I'm not sure how to switch it on with vBulletin though.

This is a permissions issue, assuming you have not modified the templates or files to remove it. Check the overall Usergroup permissions:

Admin CP -> Usergroups -> Usergroup Manager -> Edit Usergroup (Unregistered)

And the Forum permissions for each forum and Usergroup:

Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Permissions

Thanks Glen, I'll have a look.

We orginally started the forum with phpBB, but didn't like the fact that it didn't display thread titles on the main forum. We switched to VBulletin and imported the old forum. It went quite well, but we had to tweak a lot of forum settings manually.
With hindsight, it probably would have been better if we started the new search engine marketing forum from scratch.
