I was wondering if someone can help me. I have a client that is interested in starting affiliate marketing. I recommended some great affiliate networks but he insists that their prices are too high (most charge for software + management fee + % of sales). He wanted to know how he can start his own program. Does anyone know any great ready-made affiliate software out there? Or is it better to develop ones own affiliate software? And should the affiliate program be marketed as a separate brand? What's the best way to market this new program? Also, could anyone out there tell me if it is worth it to integrate a second tier affiliate structure (where affiliates can earn a commission from other affiliates and sites that they introduce into the program)?
