I was just reading thread on another forum. A guy was speaking about how this toolbar PR was lower than that in his Google Sitemaps stats.

Is that his true PR?

It's possible Koz. I don't know, but I think it's likely that the sitemap PR value is updated more frequently than the toolbar one. The other possibility is that the sitemap PR is calculated in a slightly different way, but I doubt that.

And there's always the possibility that they guy is lying or mistaken... I'm always sceptical about anything I read in search engine optimisation forums.. LOL

Well had a look at the page - definatly PR 0.

I'm seeing the same issue. Google toolbar and two "future pagerank" sites that access multiple data centers all say PR zero for all of my pages, but my Google Sitemaps crawl stats say different. The "medium pagerank" bar is about 1/5th green, low pagerank is about 4/5ths and I have a 5 page site. Highest PR page is reported as the home page in the crawl stats.

I don't get too hung up on PageRank, but am curious to know what PR my fairly new site has landed at. I guess there's nothing to do but wait and see!

I don't think we'll have to wait too long for the next toolbar PR update. There was a massive Google crawl last week, a backlink update at the weekend. Those are all signs that a PR update is imminent.
