Sorry if this seems cheeky but just a little idea and something i did on my forum

Was removing (in your case) the text "search engine marketing and optimisation" from thread titles in order to increase keyword "strength/weight"(whatever you want to call it)

Just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt :)

You can remove this from the showthread template
- $vboptions[bbtitle]

I also removed it from the FORUMDISPLAY template

You could also replace with SEO / SEM Forums if you wanted to keep some text in there but a little less

Once again, please dont take this as cheek / arrogance, but just trying to share some ideas :)

LOL... I think it's a cool idea because it reduces your keyword density as you say, and makes the pages more unique and more likely to be cached reliably.

I'm not sure if we should implement it yet though, because we want to rank for SEO and SEM (in South Africa of course) but have realitively few backlinks at this time and need all we can get from our on-page SEO factors. It'll be interesting to see what happens if and when we make the changes though!

Cheers,
Paz.

Hi,

Well things are going well for the forum already. We seem to be attracting organic visitors, forum members, and leads from South Africa; even though the forum is still fairly new.

Top priorities for me are writing the forum FAQ, setting up the archive function properly, implementing a Mod Rewrite of some sort, adding a proper header with a link to our homepage and a few more things.... when I get time LOL.

I know what you mean though. Have a search around your favourite forum(s) for "web designing Mumbai" to see the power of the forum title tag...
