Hey all!

Was chatting to a colleage earlier and we had a brief discussion on "Article/Link exchanges" Its a method I tried out a few months ago but unfortunately my success rate was very low...

We were just curious with regards to your success using this linkbuilding method..:|

Hi,

it depends on your market for sure. I mean if you are looking at reciprocal with seo companies and/or real estate websites then the acceptance rate must be very high!

In less clued up markets, I'd guess the success rate would be much lower. Which markets are you working in?

I always check to see if a site has a links page. I put a prospective partner's link up first before sending the email, and post my preferred link text in the email eg Search engine marketing to help speed thing up. I'm sure it helps.

Cheers,
Paz.

Having allot of friends in your specific industry certainly helps. I hardly ever send mass amounts of email requests for link exchanges anymore. I just get on to MSN and get a few. Anyway when I do sent emails for link exchanges, I actually get a very good response about 30% success rate. But my industry is pretty clued up :D
