Hi all,
Without sounding silly i think the forum needs some more .... activity.
What i tend to suggest when I see people say those things on forums is:
Start more threads
Invite more friends
I know a lot of the members here have full-time jobs but we still manage to keep a close community :)

I agree. The only problem i see is that this type of information is only for a certain market. I have invited 5 people so far to come have a look.... dont know if they have joined thou.
Thats true and your right, I like how this place is quite exclusive to be honest. Im a member of a lot of similar forums and they are all over-crowded with people looking for a quick buck and bad advice.
I mean look at me, I'm not even south african and I love this place :)

Allow me a rant, and Paz, Daniel if you feel this is out of place please feel free to smack me over the head!
Well if you look at the company we have on this forum, you are talking amongst the best in the industry! I know Jocelyn and Paz would probably be denying this but that is exactly why they are as good as they are. The irony is that South Africa has it's own SEO forum with mods like Paz and Jocelyn! It is complete madness if people do not join here, I mean these are some of the well known SEO guys in the world. You can go to any SEO forum that is worth it's sauce and they will respect the mods on this forum.
The big deal is that we need more people talking about DM. The fact is that because people are not that much involved in SEO in South Africa they have no idea what value are being offered to them here! Bring me another SEO forum in South Africa that can offer close to remotely the value being offered here!

Well, I can offer a solution that would help with getting the word out with regards to DM,
Chat you know about it.
I am currently developing a package that will link forums together without getting googles back up when you remove a link.
If you sound interested speak to me ;)
Dont want to give out to many details but it would help... i also run a group called NFSA. I know the name is kinda arb but it stands for Networking Forums SA. Trying to build up a group that has unique qualities and seperate interests in working together for a joined cause.

My friend Chatmaster... I'll call your rant... lol
I go on forums more for fun and chit-chat now... I don't put up with irritations of any kind anymore... got my share of useless arguments being a mod on seo-guy... that is over for me. Why most knowledgeable people left from that forum... cause they were just ignored.
I basically left every forum I was active on... some I still go and look, but I basically don't post beside here and seorefugee, or if I'm asked directly in a post. Been years on forums, and if you speak as if you are successful, then you often get attitude. So I decided to just fade off them since I don't need to flash my signature to get traffic, I don't take or want customers, and I basically just figure stuff on my own anyway... lots of forum statements are just brain-farts.
It's hard to keep a forum interesting and busy... Glen is doing everything he can to keep this place on the move making all kinds of threads... When this place will have more newbies to get threads going, it will get better... and with knowledgeable people that don't look at other members from above... it will be a good place to be.
Anyway... good job people !

Well stated Jocelyn,
I had the same problem within the telecoms field. Also being well respected and learning the hard way that you offer advice and people dont take you up on it.... whats the point. I find that forums that are friendly and sociable or more interesting to me now then ones with 10000 members.
So in that regards i agree with you and share your frustrations ;)
On another note i would like to see some activity on this forum as it is a BRILLIANT forum. Havent found so many helpful people in a long time.
Yeah sorry I haven't been pulling my weight with postings but I've just emigrated from Turkey to South Africa and I'm only just starting to find my feet.
It takes time to build a forum and this one was going quite well until we experimented with the co-op and the forum's been all but de-indexed in Google. That experiment's over and I'll be writing it up this weekend and pulling down the co-op links. That should help boost organic traffic and bring more members.

Hi D.
Your invited to join our private forum (scroll to the bottom and you'll see it), perhaps you can expand a little on your idea in there? Your post will only be seen by digital-m staff and partners.
