The most important difference between the two programming languages that Hypertext Markup Language, or HTML, SGML an application (Standard Generalized Markup Language), 1, and some use Extensible Markup Language minimization.2 skip feature allows the author Hyperlink or, XHTML, XML (Extensible Markup Language) application of 0.3 does not allow the omission of any symptoms or limit the use of the property. However, the empty elements provides a shorthand notation, for example, we <br/> <br> <br /> instead and can not use HTML. It should be an XML document sizes are well matched, which among other things, means that there must be a sign of the end of each issue beginning, which order.4 right overlapping the one related to analyst of XML Error encountered should be closed by the document well-formedness, should be scrapped when the HTML is OK to explain the hope to continue to try.

There are very few points that could differentiate HTML and XHTML. XHTML or Extensible HTML was actually derived from HTML or Hypertext Markup Language in order to be conventional with the XML standards.
The main difference between these two is that XHTML is stricter than HTML. People could easily get away with some problem to do with coding or structure with HTML but it is impossible to do so with XHTML. HTML has some problems when It comes to browser specific tags as well.

HTML means Hyper Text Markup Language, XHTML means Extensible Hyper Text Markup Language. HTML is less Stricter than a XHTML. XHTML is the XML Standard.

XML is a syntax that is very common and can be used to pass information, while many different kinds and different applications. It really just a data exchange format. HTML is a markup language used by all browsers. When you view the HTML source and you will see a number of embedded objects, and others.

As per my Knowledge HTML is presentation language where as XML is not either a programing language or a presentation language. It is used to transfer data between applications and databases.

Nice conversation done over here. I would also like to share some topic. There are some new tags added in XHTML like <video> tag.XHTML elements must be in lowercase.

HTML5 can be serialised in XML form. Valid XHTML 1 is valid HTML5. Unless you have a particularly pressing reason to use it, steer clear. HTML is a static web page. XHTML is an advanced version of it.we can make the web pages to be displayed dynamically.XHTML is a combination of XML and HTML.
