I'm wondering what people think about the idea of a community like myspace...but for webmasters

Articles - forums and profiles (like myspace) where people can fill in information about themselves, their skills, maybe their website url etc (not sure how spamming would be prevented)

This would be a community of people helping each other out, graphic designers could show their work on their profile, seo companies could share about their profile, people learning could interact with others via messages, comments, IM

the webmaster world is growing so wonder if you guys think it could be something that would take off?

and the best way to ask is..would you sign up for something like that?

I think that sounds like a great idea. I'd sign up (if for free :shhh: ).

Maybe something like Squido, just give everyone one page. It would kind of be like a business card for each SEO/Designer/Copywriter. It would be great for building out online reputations.

Glen,

I think there would be merit in something like this, i have come across a new venture going up very shortly that is the adult / social myspace.

Yes it would be for free, their would be ads on the site to generate income..maybe only on profiles..not quite decided :)

I just think there are so many webmaster forums out there, there needs to be something the next "level"

I'm sure its going to take a long time in creation but i thought i better see if there would be a market for it..thanks for the replies! :)
