Has anyone else noticed that there is adaily shift for the last week in Yahoo,

I check every morning and it changes, seems out of sorts for yahoo to be doing this

It's true, Yahoo's very active at the moment. They used to update about once a month but in the last few months I'm seeing a lot more crawling and almost instantaneous indexing of new pages.

I've seen the fluctuations, but it looks to me like they are switching between different data sets. It looks like they've made a major hardware upgrade and I think for the first time you can now see different SERPs results on different datacentres. Unlike Google, there's not a lot of info about the different datacentres because no one's had to bother before. I think if someone took the trouble to make a list of all the IP's for all the (new?) Yahoo data centres, it could bring a lot of traffic.

Yes, google also update after every minute, its PR for every site. As it keep inform about any update in sites. And yahoo also do the same.
