Yeah it's true; yahoo loves any old type of backlinks. They don't have the resources of Google or MSN so their search engine isn't that sophisticated.

I've seen a lot more yahoo traffic since their recent face change though....

You said " lots and lots of backlinks" , I have seen a lot of site come into the top positions within Yahoo, however i would think its far far too risky to just build a massive amount of links.

Google still aco****s for the majority of organic search traffic and building your entire campaign into " ranking for Yahoo" would be a short term upside but a massive downside in the long run with Google.

I think that a steady backlink campaign of RELEVANT links is the way to go, not too few and not too many. Start out small and gradually grow the number of links. This is a safer strategy for Yahoo and Google. Dig deep in those directories.

well yahoo just care for backlinks. but we never just work for yahoo. we have to be careful for other serach engines.because they all matters us alot in ranking in getting traffic and all other things that is necessary for site ranking
