what in the hell? Yahoo is giving weird results

normaly these sites results are fairly consistent in uk.search.yahoo.com, how when checking ther ankings today its all gone to hell. The rankings have crumbled, yet when i do a search in search.yahoo.com their is far less flux compared to the uk.search results.

has anyone seen anything similar? is yahoo going through an update or something?

edit:strange, im ging through the list of kw again and things seem slightly better now in uk.search :/ so far theres still major slippings but not as badly as before

I haven's seen any major movements in yahoo.co.uk for weeks. They're spidering and indexing like never before, but the algo updates are monthly just like always. I'll check today though because they may be due for an update - can't remember.... LOL

Ok for those that are interested the site that's tanked has had at least five 301 redirects aimed at it.

Here's a tip for you. The MSN domain backlink command is a great way to find 301 redirects because it lists them with the url only. The backlink (redirect) will look something like in the domain link search results:

www.hijack-domain.com
www.hijack-domain.com/redir.asp?http://www.your-domain.com

but also look out for
www.hijack-domain.com/cgi-bin?http://www.your-domain.com
www.hijack-domain.com/index.php?http://www.your-domain.com

etc.

Yahoo will figure it out eventually - we hope... LOL

Ya, I also test that yahoo do in this way. And google is batter every where.
