Every site should have a blog for a variety of reasons.

1) You can add keyword-rich content in a few minutes.
2) You can promote your blog getting backlinks in the blog search engines and directories. These are deep backlinks and can help make your link campaign appear more natural since you are getting free links to internal pages rather than just to your homepage.
3) You can use your blog to link to internal pages of your site and help build up your link and anchor text to key pages.
3) A fresh, interesting blog will attract visitors and eventually natural backlinks - and these are the best backlinks of all.
4) A blog can make your site more interactive. If your blog takes off, people will add comments and hence content for you.

Even if your blog's boring and never takes off, you can continue adding content and enjoy the benefits of (1) to (3) but if you can really capture people's attention a whole new world opens up.

There are people who make it their business to blog and to read other people's related blogs. If they visit regularly and they like what they see, they'll leave a comment or maybe even write your article up with a link to your blog.

If they don't like what they see they'll leave a comment and maybe even write your article up and link back to your blog.

Either way you win.

Often when a blogger comments on a blog, they will leave a "trackback", which is a link to their own site where they've written a discussion of your excellent/terrible article on their own blog. That's a (nofollow) link for them, but you should allow it because blogging for traffic is about social networking.

You can leave a trackback when you write an article covering a post in someone else's blog. Sure it's a nofollow link, but these are counted by Yahoo and MSN as links, but more importantly you can tap into the other blogger's traffic and expand your own social network.

Finally, when writing a blog for traffic - link out as much as possible. Don't believe that rubbish about leaking page rank because there's no such thing and even if there were you will get that page rank back in spades - and here's why.

Bloggers are social animals or maybe social geeks would be a better term. They're always looking to see who links to them (via technorati for example) and will have a look to find out who, where and why. That means that you are almost guaranteed a visit from the author of a related blog. If he or she likes what they see, they will add your blog (or its RSS feed) to their network of blogs to check out frequently. One day you could well get a link back from them covering one of your articles. That's an on-topic, free and natural back link, which can't be beaten.

Whatever the style of your blog, it can really help with a search engine marketing campaign.

So get blogging, pinging and trackbacking as a means of adding content, boosting your backlink campaign, promoting natural backlink growth, and to help draw targeted visitors to your site.

Does anyone know anything about the B 17 "Ill Get By"?

She was stationed in England and made missions across Germany into Russia and back.

My father, Woody W. Whitecotton was the turret gunner.

Is there any one out there that flew with him?
btw soundtaxi (soundtaxi.org) has Christmas promotion open yet. That is a must have deal for tons of multimedia features available in their software pack
