Welcome to the forum!

It's not bad, but as I understand it, it's a social site that comes as a package (phpFox) and there's not much you can do with from a search engine optimisation but you can do a little bit more. For instance the home page title and body should contain text with the keywords you want to target - but we can discuss that more later.

You can do a lot with it in terms of online marketing though, but first you need to decide exactly who/what markey you want to target. There's a lot of competition from other social networking sites that have had a headstart on you, but I always think there's space for a niche network.

Most of your members look like they are from India. Why don't you target that market and use lots of text like "indian networking site" "social" "online" "community" etc. but emphasise India as a target market to start with.

One of our members here, Glen, runs similar networks; perhaps he can give you some tips.

First of all I do not believe this site will work at all from an SEO perspective nor from an conversion perspective.

You are trying to force people to register with your site without giving them access to the inner stuff. This also stuff up the SEO possibilities as a bot will not register itself to view the content. You have very little backlinks and only the home page is indexed in the SE's.

I also have no idea what type of market you are targeting. Why do I want to register? Do I share the interests of the other Froolers?

Yes as PAZ said iam targetting for people from India.. because there are not much competetion in india for a social networking website..and regarding the registrations i have only hidden the other links from the guests but they can be accessed if the url is known..
and what about backlinks?? how do i do that??

it started 45 days ago and i have 1400 registered members and 100 - 150 members are registering each day.. is this good for a new site or it should be something more than this??

errr.. well it's not bad actually - pretty impresive actually because we'd be happy with 150 members a month haha

I think you will be getting backlinks naturally as people in India spread the word about your site. However, you can help things along and promote your site in the search engines by starting your own backlink campaign. We've written a tutorial here:

As for the extra text, you can set up your homepage with a meaningful text and description of what your site is about in your phpFox admin area. When I say "meaningful" I'm suggesting that you write naturally and in plain english but that you make the text contain a couple of keywords you want people to find you or in the search engines.
