Hi,
I would really appreciate it if you could review my site. The URL is www.volcanicgold.co.sz.
I am very new to SEO and I would really like some feed back on what I can do to improve the optimization of my site. The Volcanic Gold website was updated and we launched the fresh site in March this year.
Thanks for your help,

Hey D
Thanks for joining and posting !!!!!!
Hi SEO Novice,
Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on being the first person to request a site review!
It's a great looking site and I was very tempted to have a go myself!
Internet marketing's very difficult with gaming sites though because the competition is cut-throat. I think you'll need a LOT more backlinks, easily tens of thousands if you want to get high rankings for "online casino" for example, in the mean time I'm guessing you are bringing traffic via pay per click and affiliate links.
There are some usability issues I noticed. This link
http://volcanicgold.co.sz/
doesn't work at all. I don't know, MAYBE some people will try that link and think your server is broken. The best would be if you redirected the pages without the "www" part to the full www domain. A 301 (permanent) redirect works best, and your hosting company can set it up for you.
Also many of the functions, eg downloading and installing software, don't work at all in my browser (Firefox) and I got this message:
Unable to load the casino.
Your browser is not supported.
For assistance, please send an e-mail to the following address: support at volcanicgold.com
Firefox users make up between 10 to 20% of browser users, but maybe most of your clients will be using Internet Explorer. There will be some data on this in your server logs /stats and you should look at those and decide what to do.
Finally, I notice that a lot of your pages are missing in Google or have gone supplemental. The supplemental pages are dated June 2005....
I don't think it's necessarily a problem with your site, because many webmasters are seeing the same thing at the moment. I have a feeling that your site might need a sitemap to help Google "crawl" the pages, and you can think about putting one in the footer text at the bottom of each page.
It's a cool looking site though. Get back to us if you have any questions!
Cheers,
Paz.

Hey
i think its a good looking site with a user friendly navigation structure.
The site has has a google pr of 4 /10 which is fine.
What i did notice is that all the javascript is present within the html code and possibly should be moved into " include" folders. This will help with the "clean code" theory.
If you have a web developer, this is pretty easy to do and should not take too long. Let us know if you need more of an explanation on this !
what concerns me is the lack of content on the pages. Not only is there a lack of, but the keyword densities are not correct. The online gaming industry is very competitive. I would have a re-look at the copy and continiously add more, preferably on a daily basis. A good way to facilitate this is by usiing a blog, as it automatically created the relationship between page title, page name and body content. A good example is
http://www.debtsolver.co.uk/IVA-debt-advice/2006/05/bad-debt-risk-for-unmarried-couples.html
Here you will see the page title, ( named after the keyword being targeted),page name in the address bar ( once again named) and the header in the actual body. This is all targeting the same keyword. The relationship is good. In this case, if this page had backlinks from a relevant site with the anchor text debt, the relevance "score" would be good.
I would install a blog ( a developer can quickly do this for you), have articles written daily, and soon you will see the "mass of the site start growing.
When doing your link building campaign, focus some of the links deep into your blog to make sure the blog is getting indexed properly.
Then i would just say, get more and more links, you may have to pay for them as im not sure how many directories will take gambling links.
Oh, and add a detailed sitemap that you update often. Keep this on every page as it will help the search engine spider follow the links to all pages to make sure none are getting missed.
Hope this helps, shout if you dont understand anything or have any more questions.
