Hi there
What are some of the key factors needed to rank in Yahoo. I heard that its much easier to rank in Yahoo as its algorithm is not as complex as Google's.
Please give me a list of some factors needed to rank in yahoo?
Thanks
Hi,
Yahoo loves links and lots of them.... any kind of links will do for Yahoo.
Similarly to MSN it likes a higher keyword density in the <title> and on the page itself. The problem is that to rank well in Yahoo for some keywords, you need a high keyword density (% occurences of your keywords) that would probably be spammy to your visitors, and could even risk a penalty in Google.
Also the rubbish links that Yahoo loves so much could get you penalised in Google too.
My advice for most sites would be to optimise for Google, unless the site is very new, then you can push up your keyword density a little higher from the 3-5%; the Google threshold for which could penalise your site. Later you are starting to rank in Google (it can take a year), you can take the keyword density down a bit.
A safe Yahoo formula (and MSN) for on page factors, would be <title>Keyword max two times
<description>A grammatically correct english sentence with keyword
<keywords>All keywords variations you can think of
<h1>Keyword once
Keyword max three times per hundred words and other variations of it
Do that for every page.
Also Yahoo loves blogs. Let us know if you need help setting up a blog!
Cheers,
Paz.

Yahoo, meanwhile, had less than 18% market share in the same period of time. If that does not sound like a sufficient percentage of bothering to put a lot of time, do not worry. As a result, the most effective method you can use to improve their position in Yahoo also will help your ranking in Google

Classification of the last Yahoo P4P has been irrational tend to be bias.Use a site that lets you track the position of your site in Google and Yahoo. We do not need any software to promote our site just work, do our best and We have it.

I concentrated on Yahoo and the elements on a page as they look when they are placed, I looked closely at their own guidelines and noted that some very important key points. Consider this document as a breakdown of their guidelines. As highlighted on the following, Yahoo has a strong focus on the criteria of the page.

I think that You have took this decision after many research. Yahoo is really poor search engine. Sometime It could be not indexed those pages which was already indexed and give unusual result.

There are merely some policy matter difference regarding search engine rankings . other wise most point are common as in case of Google and Yahoo.
For example Yahoo count No Follow Links also bot Google don't.

There is no issue of penalizing or sandbox in Yahoo, so for ranking in Yahoo just do link building, get more and more links and get high rank on search engine.
