:o Hey hey!
Wow, so many familar faces, I feel rather priviged to have been referred to this site.
Perhaps a small lil' bit of history (oh and Hey! Mark, Glen and Carl and thanks to all of you for the awesome and advice over my tumultuous starting 18 months)
I was born in Canada, moved to SA when I was 18 months, lived in Blouberg, CT until I was 7 - then moved to Salt Rock (nr Ballito Bay - KZN) and finished matric there, then back to UCT and met my now hubby - a brit. We moved back to the UK when things got a bit dodgy - yeah OK so we baled, but we're happy now, hated the UK and moved to canada after 8 years, been here 8 months and LOOVE it, so if you all happen to head for the Rockies for a skiiing trip, do let me know!

Yep - from another forum!:shhh:
You were one of the first I saw as being familiar!
Thanks for the welcome and for your past advice too. And you know, our Festive season has been a tad dry of snow here in Calgary as well, but we did manage to build a snowman for the kids today - which they loved!

Must be the rotaredoM that gave it away I'm sure...
Finally got some on the 26th... and some more today... but nothing to make a snowman cause it was cold and the snow wasn't sticky... more like sugar... but that's good for the sky centers. Could only ski 3 times last year... hope it ain't gonna be the same thing this year...

Daniel
Welcome lineops, glad you could join us :D
This forum is certainly growing nicely :)
Hi,
Good to start the New year with a familiar face joining the forum. Was in Banf once, but that was a summer conference so there was no snow then either.
When the conference was finished I drove down the rockies to Monatana with the cruise control set to 100 mph LOL. They wouldn't let me in to Montana from canada (long story) so I drove back up the other side of the rockies towards Vancouver but the road just turned to a dirt track so I had to turn back the way I came and got back to the hotel at 2:00am.... I'd never been so sore and stiff.. and happy.
Welcome to the forum anyway!!
