I found this tool this morning and have been playing around with it, its pretty cool. You type in the url and it checks the cache date, plus the cache date of all internal pages that point to it. This is handy because with Google not updating PR and being reluctant to crawl sites that dont have sufficient 'trust', One could posibly start using cache dates as an overall indication of Google's 'trust' in a site

What do you mean by "suffient trust"? A dodgy industry like **** or something?
Everyone's been talking about trust since the Google Trust Rank patent. The idea is that some sites are more trustworty than others, and won't sell links for example.
A link from a "trusted" site couldn't be bought, it's argued, so should carry more weight than usual.
The problem is that it's meant that spammers are now attacking edu blogs, guestbooks, and server logs for all they're worth. If you look in the graphic in this thread (http://forums.digital-m.co.za/showthread.php?t=456)you'll see a couple of edu sites ranking for that search term; and that's likely due to spammers.

Lots of .edu are showing for game, download, casino, poker... their supposedly higher value links days are counted... if it ever was.

It is indeed a very cool tool. Very impressive when you put Dm through it's paces. I must say we have done very well so far! :)
Any ideas on why so many pages are not cached?

We haven't been making enough sacrifices on the alter to the Great Google? :( I'm running out of goats here :( (or is goat-sacrificing too pre-Florida update to be of use anymore?)
well i guess i could go see a spritual healer and ask her about Google

I wonder if a few internal backlinks will do the trick?
