Hey there guys
I offer Adwords Management and recently launched my site offering my services. I'd really appreciate some feed back. The content is basic, only intended as a taster for new advertisers and all the juicy information is readily available in the Adwords Learning Centre and various forums.
So yeah, thanks guys and I look forward to some constructive criticism.:-D

I'm from here and my family is here, but I base myself in Mallorca, Spain. Pretty much purely because of the net conection. I head bach here every year for about 4 months during the summer in SA. Winter in Europe is kak!

Welcome to the forum Just Ad Words!
I have a few comments if you don't mind, I would suggest an easier navigation. All your interesting stuff was on the home page. I was looking for it in the menu. E.g I wanted to know what Adwords are and could find it in your menu, so I left. My first impression of the site is that it is a typical Adwords site... Very little content and value... Or maybe that is the idea so more people click on the Google Ads? :)

Chatmaster: Thanks for the review. My frontpage is made up of introductions to short articles. If you noticed the very first one, named "What is Google Adwords all about?" is the basic overview of adwords. In the menu, there's a link to "Overview" too which points directly to that article.
The reason for the adsense is there are actually alot of advertisers and they are all relevant, and the banners at the top link to my managed services.
Perhaps I should reword my menu items?! What would you suggest?
Thanks
Koz: Just for interest sake, I have an ADSL connection here (384) which costs R270 a month, then there's my ISP which is R145 for 3gigs caps. Most months my total for being connected and my bandwidth comes to around R650. In Spain I have a 20meg ADSL 2+ line, no cap, which only costs around 38€ (=R360/month). South Africans are really getting ripped a new one here!
Just Ad Words, check out the price list here for ADSL: http://www.telkom.co.za/common/pricelist/prices/local/adsl.html
Personaly I think we are getting ripped

Silly little people!
I have been spending some time on the MyADSL or MyBroadband (no idea why they use 2 domains) forum and it is absolutely disgusting the number of complaints one company receives from it's users!
There was mention of this new company (Neotel) launching in April I think, however they aren't dropping the price either instead offering better services. I guess that's all they can do because they're grasped by the balls using telkoms infrastructure.
In my mind wireless has to be the only solution to rid SA of telkom (SpermCount)

Chatmaster: I see now why you scrutinised my site! We're in competition! lol
Hi Just Ad Words,
Welcome to the forum!
Yeah we're all in competition here but there's plenty of business on the net for everyone for sure.
Interesting that you used joomla to build your site with. Why not Wordpress or something... must be easier to set up. I like the set though, but I think it will need more content as you say.
I'd also add some graphics just to make it less daunting on the eye, even a few examples of Adwords placements, perhaps a view of some of the Adwords account setup and monitoring screens.
Targeting the niche, SA market is an excellent idea though; good luck with the site!
Cheers,
Paz.

I can asure you we are not in competition, :p . I am not that much into SEM, my main focus atm is allot broader, so no need to be concerned. My comments are based on observation and honestly to assist where I can. Yes, I think you should look at renaming your menu items and maybe even expand it a bit.

Hi Just Ad Words
Nice nic BTW
I had a look at your site, and here are some comments.
If I where you, I would move the navigation to the left, so that your links sit higer up in the page. (Or use a css positioned div if you still want it on the right)
This will make google happy.
I agree Chatmaster, your hyperlink text on the menu items need to be more descriptive, and adding some good key words in there will not hurt.
Having a look at your adsense layout and positioning, I would move the link unit above the Google adwords button, that way you get both of those showing above the fold in a 1024 x 768 screen size.
You should be careful of using images to "Point" towards ad units, its is against adsense TOS (See the sponsored links image), but there's an easy way around that.
Make your navigation, and link unit look exactly the same, and put them right underneath each other, or you could even put the link unit inside your nav.
I would also replace the search box you have now with a google search box.
That way you can increase your revenue a little.
If you change the top image to use H1 for "Reach Internet" and H2 for "South African Adwords Management", your site will also start attracting more visitors.
Hopefully this helps you get more traffic

Thanks McClaw!
Some great comments there! However I am restricted a great deal due to the fact I built the site using a CMS package. Unfortunately I'm not a designer - I'm a marketeer so me skills are limited to basically what you see.
From the SEO side of things, I have done the basics and once I move the site I'll optimise the content further and ad some more advanced content too. The site is getting indexed nicely and I'm getting some good free traffic from various sources.
Due to the fact that I'm using a CMS which uses a template based design I chose one which is clean and light. The navigation is the main draw back, I can't position it left without reinventing the wheel.............!
I tried moving the links units above the refferal link but the positioning is very different to the menu links and I can't centre or resize them without editing the code - Definite NO NO! Te Image is an official Google Adwords Referal unit, not something I did myself. Managed to make my others like similar though....
So far in the month the site has been up it has earned me $40 in adsense and a few thousand € in clients.
The real funny thing is that I'm offering an Adwords Service but it is extremely expensive to advertise using adwords! All the competition is selling ebooks or some crappy software!
Thanks for the comments though.
BTW I have a big European company I'm consulting to. The site is a mess and I'd appreciate some ideas if possible regarding their SEO. There is money to be made....

Yea, the referals buttons are a but hectic to work with.
Are you actually making money out of that button?
I used run the adsense buttons on my sites, but I hardly ever made any cash out of them so I dropped them to use the space for other stuff.
What is the URL of the site?
Lets all have a look

Well, because it is an Adwords related site people click on it and go chek it out. Whenever I get a new client I click the link too when creating their accounts, so I get a $100 once their spend reaches that.
Which url do you mean? The client? www()xcap()ewit()hu()scom, kill the brackets and put the stops in the right place....
The bigest job needing to be done is optimising the property description pages.
