I just had a look at http://www.onlinesearch.co.za and we rank very well under the forums section for 'seo'. Also makes one wonder how they identify it as a forum. Opinions?

well, i don't think it'd be too difficult. They're running off of Google's Custom Search :p

Anyway, detecting if a site is a forum or not is pretty easy. Virtually all forums have the same footprint so it shouldn't bee too difficult for the SEs to go and say 'Oh look, its a vbulletin forum', etc. They use the same idea fighting BH sites
