Repeated Indexing

Hi,

I did a search on MSN and noticed a particular site had the exact same page listed one after the other. Can anyone tell me how this happens? And can the site be penalised?

I don't quite understand; do you mean when you do a site:domain.com command the indexed pages have the same titles and descriptions?

they had the same titles but neither had descriptions

I think it will be much better if you give us the exact example so we can investigate. It can be a number of things.

thank you, but silly me didn't realise the the one url was secure and the not. The way MSN displayed it made the to pages seem exactly the same. :oops:
