Here's a video of a spambot in action. it's rather scary how quickly the thing works. he was getting quite a lot of links every 15 minutes :/

It is advisable to the developer of xrumer not to meet me in person. I might just cut something of :tools:
It peeves me to see how we are fighting these criminals from taking over our forums. :mad:

Yeah, it's seriously frustrating. And worse yet is how they market it:

"XRumer will make a drastic increase in the number of unique visitors to your site, generating a never-ending flow of targeted traffic."

Then they go on about this other tool that "is able to pa.rse several major Search Engines with highly diversified queries for maximum efficiency." So essentially it scrapes the SEs looking for targets. Grrrrrrr :x
