How's this for brilliant marketing?
Today at the robots I was given a leaflet. On the top was a giant red piece of paper with the statement "Every 35 seconds someone dies of heart disease". The pamphlet was advertising the website www.cheaphumanhearts4sale.com
The pamphlet and site offers free human hearts within 24 hours, and state that you can smoke as mucha s you want, never ahve to exercise, etc, etc - becaue there arent any waiting lists for a new heart.
Now, anyone with a brain knows that something is up, so if one goes there they see the same messages as on the pamplet, but clicking on a link takes to you a giant message saying "GET REAL". (actually, turning over the pamphlet you'll see the same message :p)
It's an ad from the heart foundation (http://www.heartfoundation.co.za). A brilliantly conceived ad as it takes advantage of one of the most common forms of small business advertising in SA: pamphlets at robots.
Well done, Heart Foundation, well done.
This deserves more links :)
