Kartoo SE

Hi,

I found this meta SE Kartoo (http://www.kartoo.com) ages ago that represents its search results in a series of interactive maps.

I think they make use of "Latent Semantic Indexing", if so I think they've been doing it even before google.

Wow... what a great find!

It's certainly using Google's top 10 results, so there's certainly latent semantic indexing in there, but the thing for me is the way they display the info.

It's much more graphical then Google's list of results though it takes some practice to find what you are looking for. I'm sure that's the future of the search engine user interface, but I'm trying to figure out where the all important paid link will fit in.

I'll have a bit more of a play!

I LOVE this SE! It's so original - it's brilliant.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to open any sites / pages I wanted to visit. I couldn't figure that out. I dunno if it was me, or just that it's not compatible with IE7.

I'll have to check it later in IE6 and FF.
