Just wondering if anybody knows of some form of basic admin panel I could add to a website, behind a password would be required just so i can keep online documents secure but an easy way for other people to see things ...

oh, ok so basically its directory-specific content?

Why not just make each directory, and then upload an htaccess password file? or are you specifically aiming for something more... controllable?

Yeah i realise that is an option as my last resort but was ideally looking something a bit 'more', thought something like this might already exist?...

there probably does, however it probably comes with a whole bunch of stuff you don't actually need...

I think an article directory script would work best here. Then people could edit their own content.

Article MS is a pretty simple one to set up;

Use that script above then. You can set different user names and access permissions, and you can even moderate article (content) edits to stop people injecting spam after the article has been approved.

Just an update to this. There was some old invoicing software that wasnt registered under any copyright and apparently some lawyers gave another company rights to distribute it. Its free but ive changed so much of the code and added a lot more functionality such as:

Clients can login and see their invoices and pay them there
Can see all their websites that we are workin on
Each Client can see private messages from admins in their client area (Admins can leave messages for specific clients)
Clients can download PDF's that we upload for each of them

Its gettin pretty advanced. I dont plan to sell or release the code just letting everyone know ive worked up my own solution that is hopefully better than some of our competition ;)

Can we have a demo login? Most Cpanel scripts are totally user unfriendly unless your a Linux boffin.....
