Wordpress no question but it's not available for asp. It's totally seo friendly once you set the preferences for url up and it comes with categories, which blogger doesn't.

I'm also a bit cross when I upgraded to the new blogger. It added nofollow noindex tags to all my posts, and probably changed the archive urls too.

Not surprisingly these have all gone into supplemental hell....

This is something I see more and more. No follow tags are becoming an evil to a certain degree, I wonder how many webmasters are aware that there even is no follow tags on their links. I see Matt Cutts also added no follow tags on his blog. So I guess that plug any comments or valuable feedback I would have given him normally.

I wonder how many webmasters are aware that there even is no follow tags on their links. I see Matt Cutts also added no follow tags on his blog. So I guess that plug any comments or valuable feedback I would have given him normally.

I wasn't really worried about the nofollow, it was the noindex that made me furious. That would have removed a substantial part of my sites' content from the SE's if I hadn't have noticed it.

You know already, but other forum members should know that a Matt Cutts link can bring a lot of traffic, and it shows up as a link in Yahoo, like all the other nofollow links we are aware of.

Hmmm depends on the use of the blog. If you just want a link from it then by all means host it on WordPress. If you want the blog to rank, then you should have it on your own hosting nine times out of ten.

http://wordpress.com is best as there are many add-on for this CMS for now a days and if i see from popularity point of view, i see it in 100 top popular site in Alexa......

well, what I dont like about blogger (other than the stupid use of the meta tags preventing indexing) is that the comments are on a seperate page, unlike wordpress where the comments are on the bottom of each post. Also, what annoys me with wordpress is that you cant seem to edit the custom layouts properly unless u cough up money :( That changes of course if you ahve the wordpress software on your domain... :)

All in all, though, i prefer wordpress. if you have the software hosted on your own server then you can create custom php applets to interact with the data :)
