You can build a link in about 10 minutes by registering your site with www.aboutus.org.

It's a PR 5 homepage with 3.5 million pages indexed in Google. It takes about 15 minutes to build up content using the Wikipedia-like interface. Don't spam it though guys -that's not cool. Here's an example we created;

What is cool about those profiles is that you can add in any kind of header too, you're not just limited to the ones they generate for you.

What I like most is that you can enter a URL in the search form and it would automatically generate pages. I think we are going to modify our directories to do the same. :o

Yeah I think a proper page for each site is much better for users (and SEO) than a page of titles and descriptions. I think you'd have to set a minimum 250 words per submission otherwise your directory would fill up with a lot of cookie clutter.
