I always notice when I do a search, that sites like Amazon and others always had an ad to display in google search. If that is the case, they don't seem to be too concern about target marketing. Why do these large companies run ads on things that have nothing to do with their site?

Well I suspect they have massive budgets, huge keyword lists and are targeting broad match. I must admit I don't see amazon that often in the sponsored results... what was the search term?

Mass marketing is a marketing approach in which the marketer addresses all segments of the market as though they are the same. The approach results in a single marketing plan with the same mix of product, price, promotion, and place strategies for the entire market.

If they are doing this than this is going to benefit them only. If they will run ads , more people will be aware of them and as they have huge keywords to focus on this is the only way they can go for.

well they are sponsoring many things. and for mass marketing they feel importance to give to such ads. and some time we get attracted toward then because we are sick and tired of searching some thing special. that is a way to attarct an eye toward these ads.

The telecommunications industry is a prime example of how wrong it takes most of the operators are. The typical value proposition for new clients, costing the company to be acquired are always offered a better deal than profitability, loyal customers who deal with the years.

Viral marketing is growing. The term, coined in the mid-1990 to describe Hot mail users got to allow people to invite their friends to participate, because if they pass the virus has now branched out into different shapes.
